Support the Senior Center - Save Your Shaw's Register Tapes -- Posted by BobLuttman on Wednesday, May 2 2007

If you grocery shop at Shaws Supermarkets consider the following.........SAVE YOUR REGISTER TAPES.

FOSI has enrolled in a joint effort on Shaw's part to help non profit organizations earn money for their respective fund raising projects. For every dollar Shaws will remit 1%. It doesn't sound like much.....a penny for every dollar but collectively it can be quite a bit.

If in a month, a family spends($200.00)some spend less while others spend a great deal more, and 100 save their tapes for a total of $20,000.00 x 1% totals $200.00..................it starts to add up.

And since we have a program that is truly a "community effort" to furnish the New Senior/Adult Center it can benefit all of us.

Store the tapes and when convenient drop them off at The Senior Room, Pfaff Center or if you are at The Town Hall Information desk "unofficially" I'm certain they will find their way to FOSI. Hopefully some of the businesses in town will begin to be drop off centers.

We will keep you posted on our progress. Thank you.

Thanks, Town Meeting! -- Posted by BobLuttman on Wednesday, May 2 2007

Voters at Medfield's Annual Town Meeting voted $100,000 to replenish the project's contingency fund. Unexpected costs, such as ledge removal and NSTAR costs, depleted the contingency fund. The fund assures the project's completion.
